INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Peace Child International (PCI), a youth-led development and educational charity with consultative status at the United Nations, seeks a full-time, enthusiastic International Outreach Coordinator to begin in August 2014.

Responsibilities 

  • Primary task to be the administrative coordinator for the Be the Change Academy Programme running in West Africa and in India.

  • To solicit and receive all financial reports from the different BTCAs.

  • To work with the digital strategist to make the BTCA  section of the website as informative and interesting as possible.

  • Research, propose and implement new approaches to strengthen the BTCA online presence.

  • Aid PCI in its 2014/2015 programme that focuses on youth job creation both in the UK and internationally.

  • Take part in school visits when required

  • Assist in fundraising research when required

  • Promote the BTCA volunteer positions  to ensure that the BTCAs are fully staffed.

  • Assist in interviewing new international volunteers.

 

Profile:

  • An interest in international development

  • Interest in building up and maintaining good contacts with our international partners

  • Basic accounting skills, organisational skills and a good/advanced command of spreadsheet applications (e.g. Excel)

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Excellent teamwork skills.

  • Flexible and willing to contribute in areas outside of those stipulated by their job description.

This position is a residential internship located in Buntingford, UK (in between London and Cambridge). All interns live in shared accommodation and take turns shopping, cleaning and cooking. Food, accommodation and domestic travel expenses when on Peace Child business is provided, as well as a small weekly stipend.
